It was raining during our stay so we didn't get much time to go hiking. We did notice that throughout the cabin several of the lamps were missing the on/off switch, so you had to plug and unplug the lights to turn them off and on. You rolled to the center and it was very lumpy. The bed itself wasn't comfortable to sleep in though. The bedspread looked newer and more modern. The bedrooms were identical in layout, each containing a built in dresser/mirror combo with a nifty rack to hang your clothes on behind it. The return grill in the ceiling was rusted and black as well. The bathroom fan vent was completely missing and you could see into the ceiling which was covered in lots of nasty, grey muck. The ceiling in the bathroom was in desperate need of repairs. Lots of fresh towels were provided though. The bathroom didn't have a lot of elbow room and I kept hitting the towel rack hanging on the wall. The couch left a lot to be desired and was very sunk down and uncomfortable to sit on however, in our friend’s cabin they had a couch that was great, so it may just depend on the cabin. The living room was spacious and had plenty of seating and a dining table for 6 people. The fridge was a regular sized fridge with freezer, so lots of room to store your cold items. The kitchen was adequate but hardly any countertop space for chopping/prepping (Make sure you bring all your own dishes and utensils). We've stayed in the one bedroom, "honeymoon" cabin, in the past and really liked it. This was our first time staying in a two bedroom cabin. The cave and the trails are great for day use but DO NOT waste your money on staying in this poorly managed, filthy, and disappointing park. That leads me to believe that the park ranger, who drove by several times, should have known to dealt with the problem! When we reported these fishermen, we were told they had been warned before. While some of them were nice, NONE of them were invited. Several other groups of fishermen walked through our campsite and disrupted our time together. We woke up the first morning to two men fishing 5 feet from the front of our tent. Groups of fishermen woke us up and invaded our campsite almost every night and every morning. They told us when we arrived that the Kayaks wouldn't be available till a day after we left. We booked with this park because they said Kayaks would be available. The bathrooms were supposed to be open till 11PM. I had poor customer service at the park office when asking about when the main bathrooms were locked. The park ranger said they would warn the people who were there first but seemed a little dismissive. We arrived at a campsite (Deep Ford 001) and found it covered in trash.
